Season is Starting!

After a characteristically hot and quiet summer, we're excited that fall and winter events are starting up again. The weather in October and November is about as perfect as you can imagine: warm days, cool nights, low humidity. You have to experience it to believe it!

Saturday Morning Market:  the largest weekly fresh market in the Southeast with its 130 vendors offering everything from fresh produce to homemade soaps to ready to eat food from 15 different nationalities. The market runs from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. every Saturday at Al Lang Stadium in downtown St. Pete.

Octoberfest has been in full swing for the last couple of weeks. Hofbrauhaus St. Petersburg offers an authentic German beer hall experience year round, with five Munich-style beers to choose from and a menu that smacks of the "old country". They do a great job with Octoberfest. Swing by on a Friday night, but remember to wear your dirndl or lederhosen! http://www.hofbrauhausstpetersburg.com/

On Oct 29 & 30, don't miss the St. Petersburg International Folk Fair
Celebrate ethnic foods, entertainment, traditions, folk arts and more representing over 40 ethnic backgrounds and world cultures. The fun takes place from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday and 12-6 p.m. on Sunday at Vinoy Park.

November brings us the St Pete Wine and Food Fest, StPeteWineAndFoodFest.com. Celebrate all things food & wine November 2-6 in downtown St. Pete! Enjoy a wine pairings dinner, a taco & tequila tasting with margarita making, a craft beer night and two days of grand tastings featuring wine from around the world, plus fare from Tampa Bay's best restaurants and chefs.

The following weekend, Nov 11-13, brings Ribfest, a three-day festival featuring the best BBQ ribbers in the world as well as a full line up of nationally touring bands playing country, classic and southern rock on two stages. For more information, check out the website: http://ribfest.org/

Nov 19: Shopapalooza Part One at Straub Park. More than 100 independent vendors and galleries with specials, food, children's entertainment, a gift wrapping area, beer tent, raffles and special surprises. Part 2 takes place Nov. 26. The event begins at 10 a.m. at Straub Park in St. Pete.

Thanksgiving will be upon us November 24, and then everyone will be gearing up for the holiday season!
